In this tutorial, I will show you how to create Valentines Mailing Labels in Microsoft Works. You can use your own graphics to create these mailing labels. So, you will need to search and find a graphic or graphics you want to use for these labels and save them to your computer. You are free to create these Valentines mailing labels however you want. I am just walking you through the basic steps of creating them.

Before you get started, you will need the following.

  • Mailing Labels Printer Paper
  • Valentines Graphics you want to use
  • Microsoft Works

Microsoft Works Task Launcher

To begin, open your Microsoft Works Task Launcher. The task launcher should be located in your Start > All Programs menu. When the task launcher opens, click the Templates button at the top of the window. On the left side of the window, you will see the different categories. Click the Letters and Labels category.

Now you will see your template options in the window on the right. Click the Return Address Labels template. A new window it will open and a box will pop up. In this box, you will need to select how the labels will appear. This part is totally up to you. Read through the options and select the correct option for you. Then click the OK button at the bottom of the box.

Another box will open and you will need to select the size and type of labels you are using. Browse through the options and select the correct size mailing labels you are using. Then click the New Document button at the bottom of the box.

Mailing Labels Template

Your new document will open and you will see your mailing labels template. Now you can start creating your mailing labels. Click your mouse inside a mailing label. Go to the top of your window and click Insert > Picture > from File and select Valentine’s graphic you saved to your computer. Double click the graphics and it will be inserted into your mailing label. You will probably need to shrink it down if it is too large. You can shrink it by clicking the graphics and then dragging the corner inward.

Now, you can add your text to the label. Type your address and change the font options to what you want. If you chose to create each individual label, you will need to go through each label and create it. Once you are finished, click File > Print and print your Valentines mailing labels.
