Color by Number Program Tutorial

Color by Number Program Tutorial
Written by Alyssia Walmsley

In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to you the Color By Number program. The Color By Number program is a program that allows you to turn any image into a color by number sheet. You will need to use a solid colors image or a coloring sheet for this program. Nothing with gradients will work. Photos will not work either. I have tried both of them. You can download this program from downloads.com and try it for free for 15 days.

Where Can I get the Program?

When you open your program, a box will open and ask what do you want to do. Click the Open Picture from Disk button. Then a window will open and you will need to locate the image on your computer that you want to use. Double-click the file to open it or click the file and click the Open button. Your image will open in your window and you will see a settings box pop up.

In the settings box, you can make changes to your image. You can crop it, flip it, and rotate it. Make any changes that need to be made and click the Next button. In the next window, you can edit your image by making it smoother, lighter, darker, and so on. Make any changes that you need in this window and click the Next button.

The next window will show you the colors that will be used for the image. Click Finish to close the box. Give it a minute to process your image. Then the image will load in your window and you will see a preview of it.

All Make Sense Now?

To see the pattern with the numbers, click the Pattern button on the left side. Then click the Display button at the top. A menu will drop down and you will need to click Painting Pattern. This will turn your image into the color by number picture.

If you need to make any changes to your image, you can do so by using the buttons at the top of your window and the buttons down the left side of your program. To save your photo go to the top of your window and click File gt; Save Painting Pattern As. When the box opens type in a name for your image. Then click the Save button. Now you can open your image and print it.

This is a nice program but it is hard to find an image that will work right. If an image has too many colors, it will not turn out right. If an image has small little sections of color, it will not turn out right. You have to find the right image to get this program to work. Although it is a great program, I don’t have the time to sit here and find the right image to convert.
